The intervention consists in the transformation of a hotel into 12 social housing units in Paris 15th district at the crossroad of two streets and a neglected train track.
Overall coherence
In order to restore an overall coherence to this building which used to have two distinct languages, we apply the same treatment to the whole building in a ground floor base cladded with anthracite bricks while on the top floors, a discreet light gray fine coating gives a quiet backdrop to the window frames.
Details and variations
Clear glass windows and black anodized aluminum frames alternate randomly with semi-reflective glass windows and gray anodized aluminum frames, liven the facades up.

L’intervention consiste en la transformation d’un hôtel en 12 logements sociaux à Paris 15ème en bordure de la petite ceinture.
Cohérence globale
L’hôtel est constitué de deux bâtiments accolés dont les façades ont été recouvertes d’un inélégant enduit épais soulignant une disposition disparate des fenêtres. Afin de redonner une cohérence globale à ce bâtiment en proue, les 3 façades du bâtiment offrent un traitement systématique consistant en un socle à rez-de-chaussée en briques anthracite tandis qu’aux étages, un enduit fin gris clair s’efface au bénéfice du traitement subtil des menuiseries extérieures.
Détails et variations
Les menuiseries extérieures sont systématiquement intégrées dans des cadres en aluminium anodisé naturel en saillie recouvrant les châssis des menuiseries. Des vitrages clairs et des menuiseries en aluminium anodisé noir, des vitrages semi-réfléchissants et des menuiseries en aluminium anodisé gris naturel alternent aléatoirement, venant animer les façades et permettant de feindre un décalage délibéré des ouvertures dans les façades existantes des deux bâtiments aux niveaux de planchers décalés.
